New flexible video calling service will help to reduce costs

Over the last year business communication has changed a great deal. With the increased use of Smartphones business users want improved mobile connectivity and enhanced services.

So to meet this need we have introduced a new one-to-one video calling service within our hosted IPVS platform. Utilising MobileOffice software this new service allows organisations to manage communications easily and efficiently across PC desktops, Smartphones and Tablet devices.

It allows users to make and receive ‘On-Net’ video calls between two parties over our hosted VoIP platform using either a Wi-Fi or 3G data connection. This allows them to bypass traditional telephony networks and reduce costs.

Choose how to make your video calls

To make a video call, both calling parties will need to have a hosted VoIP user account and use a supported hardware or software device. There is an extensive range of supported devices which includes: PCs, Smartphones, Tablets and IP Phones.

This variety of supported devices enables users to pick and choose how they make video calls at any given time. Users that are mobile can use a soft client on their Smartphone, fixed office users can use a PC or physical handset, or they can mix and match to create a flexible communications solution.

Video calls can be made up-front as standard or users can make a standard voice call and choose to add video during a conversation. Our default video calling uses the industry standard H.264 codec and CIF 352 × 288 or QVGA 320 x 240 resolutions.
