Installing the Zimbra Desktop on a Apple Mac

To install the Zimbra desktop client on a Apple MAC first you need to download the client from here:

Click on Save.

When the download has completed you will see at the bottom of your browser the completed download.  Double click this to start the install.

You will then see the Zimbra Desktop installation package.  Double click this to start the install.

If prompted, enter your local username and password to authorise the installation and then click on Install Software

On the Zimbra Installation Welcome page, click on Continue.

On the Software License Agreement click on Continue and then Agree to start the installation.

Next, click on Install.

The installation has now been completed, click on Close.

You then need to launch the Zimbra email client from your applications menu.

We now need to add your account to the email client.  Click on Add New Account.

Select Zimbra as the account type.

Enter your name, email address and password and ensure all other settings are the same as the screenshot below, and then click on Validate and Save:

Click on Launch Desktop to launch your newly configured Zimbra Desktop email client.
