Sharedband Service Updates |
Our Sharedband service has been improved to make it an even more attractive proposition.
Sharedband V2 The new service includes a number of enhancements that will improve the resilience and reliability of Sharedband.
Last year we announced the launch of our new Sharedband service. Sharedband enables the upstream and downstream bandwidth of multiple Internet connections to be aggregated.
This makes it ideal for bandwidth hungry online applications such as multiple VoIP and VPNs and provides a number of significant benefits:
- Improved resilience with increased connection speeds by up to four times
- Dramatic performance gains
- upload and download in as little as a quarter of the time and responsiveness to change
- Greater resilience by smoothing over line drops
- Easy installation - works with standard Broadband routers and services
- Scalability to quickly and easily meet demand by adding new lines
Well now our Sharedband service has been improved to make it an even more attractive proposition.
Sharedband V2 The new service includes a number of enhancements that will improve the resilience and reliability of Sharedband. These include:
- Automatic line weighting - This new feature automatically balances traffic between multiple lines regardless of speed. This allows different ADSL lines with different speeds to be bonded successfully to achieve the maximum speed. (i.e. 1Mb and 3Mb can be bonded to give 4mb).
- Ethernet Sharedband - Our successful Sharedband software has now been ported over to an Ethernet based router. This new router can now be used to bond both ADSL and non-ADSL Internet connections together, providing an even greater choice of connectivity options that can be used with Sharedband
- Improved stability and reporting
- We have also improved the reporting interface to give partners and customers a better understanding of traffic
passing through connections as well as improved diagnostic tools
