How can I find out if i can get ADSL2+?

What speeds can expect from the new service?
ADSL2+ is similar to standard ADSL Max services, the speed you obtain will vary depending on the length of your line to the exchange, noise and exchange capacity. The online availability checker can give you an indication on what speeds to expect. Most users are seing an increase in speed when changing to the new ADSL2+ product.
Will I need to change equipment?
In most cases no, most modern routers will support the new ADSL2+ service. If you are unsure please check with the manufacture. If you are still unsure email our support team

I’m on long line length will this make any difference?
Yes, the new ADSL2+ product has new DLM (dynamic Line Management) feature to improve stability of long lines.
How do I migrate my existing Talk Internet connection(s) to the new service?
As part of the migration process a member of Talk Internet will be contacting you to discuss migration of you/customer services. The migration process requires you to enter a new username /password in the router on the day of migration. The migration process takes 5 working days to complete. On the 5th working days you will need to enter the new login details.
Is there any downtime while migrating?
Whilst we try to insure minimum disruption during the migration process they maybe a short window of downtime (1-2 hours) whilst the line is migrated over to the new ADSL2+ platform. The downtime will only be on the day of migration. If you're concerned about the impact of this please speak to our support staff.
Will sharedband still work?
Yes Sharedband is 100% compatible with the new ADSL2+ service.
Are there any products that are incompatibly with ADSL2+?
The same products that are incompatible with ADSL broadband are the same with ADSL 2+. Products such as redcare are still supported.
